Elaine's B & B By the Sea

We stayed at Elaine's B&B for the night last week and we really enjoyed the stay! Elaine is a friendly and lively individual who took care of us as if we were her own children. . We got the 2 beds room with ensuite bathroom, it was very clean and well maintained. The common activity room and breakfast room had spectacular view of the ocean, though we were too early in the season to spot any whale. Did I mention Elaine makes amazing breakfast? There were many options and Elaine was very accommodating to our food requests. Her cat and dog were adorable and friendly too! They greeted us with lots of affection and cuteness. It is Elaine's last year of operating this B&B (though never say never), so go when you still can!

If you're traveling through the area and there's availability, stay at Elaine's. The rooms are super comfortable, super clean, very well appointed and the entire home is so inviting and warm. We stayed two nights at Elaines and our experience was incredible. Elaine was friendly, professional and went out of her way to pick us up from a neighboring town for just a small fee. Our room was exquisitely clean, and well maintained, and there was a separate living room for bnb guests with a gorgeous view of the ocean. Breakfast was always homemade and delicious and Elaine was generous with allowing us to use her kitchen throughout our stay. The house is close to the East Coast Trail, about a mile hike through the neighborhood, leading to the beach trail section which was absolutely beautiful. This was our best stay during our week in Newfoundland. We will definitely be returning!

Two weeks ago we spent 3 wonderful nights at Elaine's. I miss the ocean there already. First of all, the web-site directions from the airport were spot on. We felt like it was our home. Stopped by on our way back a few days later for a chat - like old friends. Her breakfasts were outstanding. Elaine is so much fun and we loved meeting her family and Cheryl her assistant as well. Extremely clean and comfortable, luxurious linens and towels. Amazing views from every room. We enjoyed several easy hikes close-by. Not a single thing to criticize - we'd stay there again anytime.
