Blackwood's Bread & Roses Inn

Rooms: Our room was extremely comfortable. We had to go to another town for a day, and when we returned, we made sure we booked in there again only to get the nicest room in the place. At least, it was the nicest one in my eyes. Nearby activities: There are many things to do in town. They're shopping, dining, watching the ships, the Fort snd a great brewhouse that has trivia nights, karaoke and live entertainment Safety: I never felt anything but safe there Walkability: The town of Annapolis Royal is very walkable. There is lots to see on every corner, and the town is kept very clean. Food & drinks: Judy and Mark were able to cater to my extensive dietary requirements. The food was delicious and the presentation was amazing.

What an incredible B & B! The building was amazing, with spectacular period furniture throughout the inn. A bonus, in my mind, each room had a modern ensuite. Joseph was a perfect inn keeper! Catered our every request, he also made wonderful breakfasts. I have been boasting to all my friends that they need to visit Annapolis Royal and stay at Bread & Roses!

I willingly overlook some minor imperfections to give this the highest rating. Joesph provided a fine hot breakfast and is very well informed about the local history. But the house itself is arch amazing. The interior details will amaze you.

What a fantastic period Victorian guest house / hotel / bed and breakfast. Beautifully appointed inside, its like going back in time. Each room has character, also see the pics for the central areas. Just gorgeous. The location couldn't be better, one block from the main street. Easy free parking too. Our room (room 5) had a heat pump AC, but not all rooms do. Joseph the host was excellent. I was hoping for a better breakfast with some protein options and toast, but thats my only negative. The breakfast coffee was great and there was lots of it. Can't wait to return to this incredible property in the heart of Annapolis Royal.
