Ballantyne's Cove Laundromat

You need 2 loonies and a good 10 quarters. Its great it was here. We didnt think so as its part of a boat docking place :-) very happy as we needed a blanket done urgently. Thank you

Laundromat and showers are geared at sailors, but they are open to everyone. I was happy to find a laundromat here. At least during the Summer season it seems to be open 24/7. There is no money change machine, so when you come outside the museum hours, you need to bring exact change: 2x$1 and 2x$0.25 for the washing machine, and 4x$0.25 for every twenty minutes of drying. There is no detergent vending machine. Luckily, the museum staff had some for me, but that's only during their business hours, and there's no guarantee that have that. Washer and dryer worked well for me. The dryer gets really hot, so it doesn't take forever. There are also coin operated showers. $2/5 minutes, but I don't know what coins are exactly required.
