I was enrolled at Ravensberg College from 2017-2018. During that time period I was part of an amazing class, my classmates and instructors were both great. Mr. Lidstone was a phenomenal instructor with decades of law enforcement experience with the RCMP and instructing at other colleges. He covered the Canadian Criminal Justice System, Professionalisms and Public Relations, Canadian Criminal Code and Criminology to name just a few. Mr. Spillner was an exemplary Use of Force Instructor with a very impressive background in Use of Force and Martial Arts. Mr. Spillner covered Defensive Tactics, Firearms Safety and the Use Of Force model to name just a few. Mr. Smith was a great instructor at the college, facilitating on the job training at many different agencies from Police, Corrections, Sheriffs and Security. Mr. Smith ensured that the cadets maintained physical fitness and professionalism for field operations. Between all of the instructors, If I had any questions regarding the material or needed advice on certain careers, I always got the answer I needed. The program allows you to maintain a flexible schedule. During the program I attended class Monday-Thursday, on the weekends and evenings I was able to work part time without adding too much stress to the program and still achieve a high grade percentage. During the program I was enrolled in the Canadian Armed Forces Reserve, I was offered full time employment with the Regular Force Military Police only 4 short months into the program. At the end of the program I immediately started working and attended the Canadian Forces Military Police Academy the following year. The material I learned at Ravensberg College helped me excel at the Military Police Academy near the top of my class. To anyone considering a career in law enforcement, I recommend this course. You will get a good taste of what working in law enforcement is like, while learning the material and during on the job training. The diploma you receive is recognized by Military Police, RCMP, Corrections, Sheriffs, CBSA, Fisheries and many more. Good luck!

This is an amazing school. Mr. Spillner was absolutely amazing with teaching defense tactics, marksmanship, use of force, and many other topics as well. I definitely recommend this school to anyone that is interested in a career in law enforcement. Mr. Powell is also a phenomenal teacher and him and Spillner both bring a ton of hands on experience into the classroom. You will definitely miss this place when you graduate!

Ravensberg College, is the place where I started my Law Enforcement Career. I learned lots and applied what I learned into the real world. I met many great people along the way, friends, and great staff. Everyone worked as a team both students and faculty. I have known well over 20-30 grads who have went on to careers in Law Enforcement, ranging from RCMP, MP, Corrections, Sheriffs, and etc... Thats just off the top of my head, and I know there is more! The motto isnt a joke, Take your first step to career in Law Enforcement. It worked for me!

Stay away from this school, complete and total rip off. I'm a student in the 2020 class, and we are all currently fighting Jason Spillner and the scam he has going on. The interview will be the first and only time you meet this man if you dare go here, and you'll be presented with nothing but falsehoods to lure you into his program, which gives you absolutely nothing. In a world where law enforcement departments are ridiculed for under training, Jason Spillner is providing a "first step" claiming all physical modules are "pretty much all theory". You will get 0 certifications that progress you to a career in law enforcement in you attend this place. You'll notice all of the 5 star reviews all say the same thing "if you put in the work..." ive put in the work required, as have many students. I've just realized that this is a scam that gets me nowhere due to lack of planning, professionalism, and care.
