I love this place! It's the kind of place I wish I had extra time to stay and enjoy the property. Yes, it is a little dated. Our room had no A/C, but we didn't need it this night. We left our window open and I didn't hear any noise all night. In fact, It was the best sleep I've had in a long time. It is located on St. Margaret's Bay. And the view from the grounds is wonderful. I would definitely stay here again!

This is a review I was not looking forward to writing. We booked a six night stay and told we were given a discount for a multiple night stay. When we got there they put us in the Honeymoon Cottage (Divorce Cottage) and told us we got a discount because the jacuzzi was broken (which meant no bathtub). Only a shower with a broken shower head. No water pressure at all in the bathroom sink. Then we were told we had to take this room because we chose a queen size bed. (Other cottages having beds swapped) Website said fire pit (build your own) BBQ (charcoal, got the metal contraption, never got a grate to cook on) and salt water pool (Kidde wading pool with green stuff in it). We did make the most of it. I think the worst was the stench. It smelled really bad, like something was rotting. There was so much humidity in the room our sheets were literally wet. Glad we brought a blanket! The place was filthy. We did some cleaning, I think I ruined 2 pairs of socks in the sticky floors. One of the posted rules was not to steal the smoke alarm. Couldn't of done that as there wasn't one. I DO NOT recommended this place or WOULD NOT stay here again. Too bad for such a beautiful location. We felt deceived and taken advantage of.

Honest review. The rooms are dated but clean. Flat pillows and no ac. No screen doors and only one of our windows opened. It is dog friendly for an additional cost of $25. Our room (see the pictures) total cost for one night was $178.50 (including the fee for the dog). It is in a nice location close to grocery, gas, pet store, Canadian Tire and Tim Hortons. There are waking / hiking trails with parking just down the road. Best to drive to them and then walk (I didnt do the trails just saw them). The water view is awesome and does help to bring this to a 2 star. There is an above ground outdoor pool also available. The weather a little chilly so we did not use it. But from the looks of it, maybe not in operation?!? Maybe it also needs some love. They have chicken and roosters wandering around and the rooster is pretty vocal. Pictures on website are definitely not recent nothing except the water looks like the pictures. They also have other cabins but not sure what they look like on the inside. This place is pretty big. This place could really be a hidden gem but does need some love and attention especially for the rooms and the grounds. We stayed one night August 1, 2022

This place is old and uncared for. The photos are from another time when there must have been some pride in the ownership. We arrived very tired and needing a nap, had to ask the young man twice to stop playing basket ball out side my room.... no nap... shower did not work... watched the manager try to fix it with a new show head but clearly there wasn't enough water pressure to get water up to the shower head. Finally, after much discussion, with a miserable man, got a different room, it was the other room they had actually put together, had the shower head changed and then got the manager to turn on the water heater... wanted me to just go to another room to shower...In the morning the long stay person 3 rooms down started yelling at the police on the phone and woke me up way to early. This place really needs new management, cleaned up and maybe it could be a low budget motel but doesn't make it to that point now.
