Highly recommend this place to everyone. If youre thinking about booking, please just go ahead and book now. Bricin and Patricia are two of the most welcoming people I have ever met in my life. I have never enjoyed myself so much on a solo trip as I have staying here. I will be back very soon, and I will be bringing a group of friends! Cheers!

WOW! Such a beautiful land, building, family. Cash and Billie Rose were great hosts (as were their Mom and Dad). From the moment we stepped into the hostel we knew we made the right choice. Our only regret is that we were not able to stay longer. Thanks to everyone for making our time there a memory to cherish alway.

This is really an amazing place. I was skeptical at first, of being in a large dorm as I like my privacy at night - but it is the nicest dorm I've ever seen, and with 2 large bathrooms and thoughtful layout and guidance for fellow guests, it did not feel difficult to share with others. I was also skeptical of the price at first ($50 for half a bunk bed?!) but once you see what you are getting for that, you will realize it is a fabulous deal. 3 cheers for the Highland Hostel! I will be back!! Ps make sure to make time to go hang out in a hammock in the bell tower with a 360 degree view of the highlands and ocean :)

I just spent a week in Cape North on the Cabot Trail. A place of friendly people is an understatement. While there I staid at Highland Hostel. I don't have much to add to the comments here. It's easy to see they're all singing the same song. If you are in Cape North you should check out the hostel in fact I would put it on my trip list. I can't imagine you'll regret it.
