        Get with the times Halifax Harbour Bridges! Have a debit/credit swipe pass option. Nobody carries cash anymore, or someone out of province holds a Macpass. Seriously!!!

        Very nice bridge! On the other hand, to go by car you have to pay $1 cash. Payment cards not accepted. So we found ourselves in front of a teller who was waiting for us to give him the dollar. We explain to him in great detail that we have no money, nothing helps. What does he not understand in "with have no money, no cash"? Finally we engaged the reverse gear with a very big line of cars behind us ... He broke down and let us pass .

        The necessary evil that just became more expensive. If you frequent either of the bridges, get a MacPass. It makes for a faster and less expensive trip.
