Great seafood store. Lots of seafood to choose from. Clams, bacon wrapped scallops, shrimp Different sizes of frozen scallops Also had fresh fish and scallops,also the seafood store does not smell like fish. Very happy with our purchases Prices were also good. They also have a restaurant attached and from what I have heard its very good

I tried Carla's for the first time, and I can't say enough about the food and service I received. I always try to give fair and honest reviews and I would rate this place above any other place in town when it comes to fish & chips for taste, quality, and value for your money. I don't believe it is the cheapest in town but you get a mountain of food for a reasonable price when you look at it quantity vs. price. I had the English style fish batter which was crispy, had a nice golden brown to it and tasted even better then it looked! The previous week I had eaten at a local competitors who's food I used to love but the quantity had been cut in half and had to go to another place to buy something else to eat, but not at Carla's! I almost couldn't walk out the door the portion was so large, so no complaints there. I will be back for sure as this will be my new "go to". I even told her at this rate she will put her competition out if business. Give Carla's a try! You will not leave hungry! //Update - May 5, 2023// I decided to return and take my father and family to supper. Honestly, it hurts me to write this as I always try to support small businesses as much as possible but I feel I have a duty to report my experience as honestly as possible. First off I want to say that the fish was as fresh as you could imagine which is the main reason I am rating a 3 instead of 2. The main reason for my low rating is the lack of value. Previously this was one of the main things in their favor, but I can no longer say that. I am not sure what has changed but there are other places you can buy fish & chips for a better price. In addition, we ate in the restaurant and was given styrofoam plates and plastic utensils which is not the most environmentally friendly. Paper plates could be used for take out with waxed paper under it as an option. The other thing that I noticed is that you get the same small amount of tarter sauce with a small as you do a large fish and chips. I ordered a large and my daughter ordered a small but luckily she doesn't like tarter sauce so I used hers. I was also hoping for a beer batter but it was a dry batter which was still good, but not what I really like when I order fish & chips. These are the reasons for my 3/5 stars.
