        If you are traveling on the Cabot trail North of Smokey - plan a stop at Danenas' Cafe! Located in Dingwall. They have great coffee, home made sweets and hot meals! Stay in or take-out. Sit on the large outdoor patio or inside where you can do a bit of antiquing through an eclectic variety of items on display throughout the cafe. There's a good amount of parking - open mostly in the summer / fall - check their Facebook page for hours or more information.

        Simply the best place to stop for lunch/early dinner in the Highlands. Couldn't recommend enough. The food is delicious, and you really get personalized interaction with the cook. The interior has also a ton of character. I guarantee this will be a highlight of your trip in the Highlands! :)
