Sartys did a window and insulation/siding installation on our home in Hubbards in November 2022. The workmanship was excellent and the job was completed within the time frames indicated. Ours was an older home with many oddities and the experience of their installers became evident as our home now looks spectacular. Highly recommend them. Im a single mom that just bought my first home. Its a very special time for me. There are some things I needed a little help with so I called Sarty for a quote on siding, two exterior doors and two windows. Don showed up 10 days later with a terrible attitude and made me feel as though I had done something wrong. I received a quote from Kent Building Supplies for the same project, he informed me it was ridiculous and quoted me $10 000.00 more than the original estimate for just the siding. Then measured my windows and doors, told me he would email me a quote by the end of the week. Crickets- its been two weeks and I have heard nothing. I verified the estimate with Kent building supplies and they assured me it would not cost what Don had quoted.save yourself the headache and dont even call them.

Louise at Sarty Siding sent me an email indicating the leak at my home would be fixed by n 2 weeks. 2 weeks passed and I did not hear from her. In previous emailed she blamed the delay on hiring and COVID, which I understood. I followed up with another email and was told repair would be done late summer or early Fall. After receiving this reply and after getting the run around for months, I informed her I had hired another company based on my experience with her and Don. She replied with a very unprofessional email, which shocked me and I would ask anyone considering hiring this company to read the reviews. Sarty Siding is unorganized and unprofessional. I was the general contractor for our new home build (third time building) 2020-2021. It was an unpleasant experience working with Sarty Siding from June 2020 to Jan 2021, then the months after getting things fixed. Briefly, this is what happened. Don was disorganized from the start, asking us to meet twice for the same issue - to pick siding type/color. It took over 6 months to get a price for PVC trim from him. On Sept 29, 2020 I asked Don to get the siding early as I had onsite storage for it and considering that several trades were telling me about siding shortages; Don arrogantly declined my request but it turned out I was right about the shortage. This set us back by 6 weeks; on December 7, 2020 I informed Don that Gentek had siding available in Burnside - so how hard was Don looking? My garage door lock was damaged from Sarty Siding dropping off siding materials. Broken siding pieces were installed; they fixed them at my request. Why would something, clearly broken, be installed? In December 2020 Brian put deep scratches (exposing the metal) in our new metal roof by putting a metal ladder on it without protection. Brian told Don that he used protection under the ladder but I have a photo that shows no protection under the ladder; thus a lie. It was too risky to replace the metal roof to maintain a good seal, so Matt finally painted the bare metal spots Oct 7, 2021. Don and I agreed on the location of lights above the garage doors; the siding guys put them in the wrong place; Don said he told the installers where to put the light boxes and the installers say Don never told them; someone was lying. The installers removed the siding and lowered the light boxes. Both garage door white cladding had hundreds of scratch marks from the machine that bent it but it was installed anyway; I asked for it to be fixed, so the installers simply put another piece of cladding over each door but they cut it short and when they reinstalled the weather stripping (to cover over the seam of the piece of cladding) it meant that the weather stripping did not even touch the garage door along the top (I could fit my fingers in the air space). I only realized this after white interior wall primer dripped down the outside of my black garage door (the primer drips are now permanent!) and I had a really hard time heating my garage in January 2021- all the heat was escaping out the top of both garage doors. I complained and the installer actually told his boss that there never was weather stripping on the garage door; there certainly was weather stripping which he removed and reinstalled - twice in fact - and he made a long pencil line where to line up the weather stripping on re-install, thus a lie. When Sartys fix it guy (Matt) came to fix the cladding on March 25, 2021, he agreed that it was a poor job and he fixed both the cladding and the weather stripping location. A downspout was installed in the wrong location despite an agreement where all downspouts would go; they fixed it after I pointed it out. I had requested gutter guards and Don quoted it in July 2020. However, when gutters were installed early Jan 2021, they did not install covers. Feb 12, 2021 I am put in the que to have the covers installed, after several exasperating email exchanges about whether covers were necessary or not. I opted not to formally complain to Sarty Siding about the petty things such as not getting reimbursed for Tyvek that I had to buy and install myself for insulation/electrical purposes. I also did not complain about the many cigarette butts left all over my yard by the installers. I also did not complain that the siding seams were not staggered in many places.
