The staff I've spoken with so far have been lovely. Operations definitely needs an overhaul though. I was given misleading information numerous times already. Applied for emergency housing on April 6th and was told the turnaround time wouldn't be very long at all. The applicant just before me was in the same situation - she went from applying to being given accommodations in a week. I'm still waiting. Received a call yesterday to go sign another paper and was told I'd only qualify for a unit in one of those two properties in Sydney - no indication of whether or not I'd still need to wiat lor if there was a unit available already. Very hard on the head and heart when in crisis and constantly on the verge of a meltdown.

With the price of gas and oil being so high and still rising, why do people in Regional housing insist on keeping doors and windows open almost 24/7.Are their homes to warm because they have the heat cranked? Their only solution is to open their doors and windows to cool down and then heat the outside.I am cold most days this winter because I am on a fixed income.I cannot afford to turn my heat up? So how does regional homes afford to do so?Maybe I should apply for Regional so can be warm and not have to worry about the cost..Something has to be done.People are fed up..
