Giant Bicycle Halifax

Giant Halifax has a fantastic team of helpful folks and some great bikes and accessories. Giant bikes probably offer the best value available from a bike shop.

I took my son here as I was interested in buying him a new bike and I heard good things about Giant. We walked in the door and a representative reluctantly greeted us. I told him what my son was looking for and I told him our budget (which was around $1000) and he basically then just started acting dismissive saying they really didn't have much at that price range and showed us a few women's bikes (me and my son are both men and look like men so I figured he just didn't want to be bothered making a sale) I left disappointed and I'm not coming back. Actually found a bike for my son at cyclesmith within the price range mentioned earlier and great quality.

Was in this store today and the mechanic scoffed at a mountain bike being light when I used to have one. Also, don't honour the military even though it is advertised. They say they have a partnership with the Canex and cannot honour it due to supply chain issues which makes no sense because if I buy a bike it still comes from the warehouse. So a paid for bike comes in time? Why do these guys get away with false advertisement? If they can't honour it it should not be advertised, and they should do a discount in lieu. I have been a long time Giant customer, now I will never buy from them again. They also said their mechanics were super busy and I saw three of them sitting around not working on bikes at all.
