Habit Studio

We had a great experience working with Habit Studio as they designed our home. From our initial meeting they heard our vision for how we wanted to live in our house and made it a reality. We enjoy many things about our house but the way the light shines in and the openness and connection to the outdoors is our favourite part. The process of building a home is very stressful and there are so many decisions to be made. We felt as though we were in good hands as they guided us through the whole process and all the tiny finishes to ensure we had a cohesive design. Thank you Lorrie and Judy and team!

We had a wonderful experience with Lorrie. She worked with us to renovate a very dated home and helped us create an open space that worked for our family. Lorrie was able to come up with some alternatives for layout and design of the space despite some unique structural challenges that we would have never considered on our own. She was also extremely helpful in selecting and sourcing materials we used in the space!

We were very pleased to have worked with Lorrie Rand on our recent passive house build.From the moment we met Lorrie, we knew that she was the right fit for us. We were highly impressed by her willingness to meet us at the site, which allowed her to visualize how the landscape would play a role in the orientation of our new home. At the end of this meeting, we mentioned our interested in building a house that included passive principles and Lorries eyes lit up. We could see and feel her passion for this type of design. This was our first time ever using an architect for a project. We came to this partnership with no experience and not much more than a shoe box of pictures and a few ideas. Lorrie was able to understand and decipher our vision, even when we werent fully sure what we wanted. She remained patient and considerate as we worked through the project. Lorries expertise and attentive nature allowed us to create a dream home that is far beyond what we could have ever imagined.

We had a wonderful experience working with Judy and the Habit Studio team on our older home renovation. Judy led us through the process and listened to our wants and needs to develop a functional and modern bright space for our family. She was respectful of our budget constraints and communicated the vision with optional plans and images that we worked through together. They were approachable and accommodating with our many questions through the entire process and expertly managed our expectations. We have been living in our new space now for over a year and it still reflects our style and needs. I know that had we followed our own initial vision and had not reached out to Judy that we would not have such a impactful change. We would have no hesitation in recommending Habit Studio for others embarking on the renovation process.
