Yu Yo Craft Supply + Tea House

The perfect place to pick up specialty art supplies and tea making items. They have a great selection of tea on-hand to try before bringing home for yourself or as a gift to go with a cute tea set. It's a little hidden, but 100% worth the visit.

This is an ideal tea shop if you desire real tea and not the standard box tea + hot water options available at coffee shops and sugar-powder options available at boba shops. The tea menu is easy to follow and they brew the tea from loose leaf right in front of you. They offered cow milk almond milk and soy milk. (I chose cow milk because soy and almond milk typically include sugar and shops usually don't carry the unsweetened versions). They have one size for to-go, (16 oz I think) and the paper cup is very cute. They were able to make any option sugar-free (no sugar added) which is more difficult to find in the tea/boba shop type shops. They have many options under green and black tea, but also several herbal options. I got #62 with cow milk for about $7 CAD and it was delicious. I will definitely come back for my more. The craft supplies are quite unique and there is a distinct trend towards Japanese stationary and imports. They have stamping supplies, beading supplies and even small plants and some ceramic/pottery art for sale. There is a small eating area with two 2-person tables and one 4-person picnic table esque eating area. The space to get into the eating area is quite narrow and would be challenging to navigate for larger bodies. The staff does not mask and I don't remember seeing any signs encouraging patrons to mask. Overall it is an extremely cute and relaxing place to visit for tea enthusiasts, but may not be the best option if you are looking for a lower cost beverage, accessible, or still-masking environments.
