Allstate Insurance: Joy Potter

Appalling customer service. In fact, probably the worst I have ever experienced. Our whole family (parents and two teens) had our car insurance through All State as well as home insurance. When my son sold his car and cancelled his car insurance, All State cancelled my insurance because I could not prove my son no longer lived at home ( despite sending them a bill from his new address and a copy of his lease). Despite them deciding to revise their original decision, I decided to go elsewhere and found a far better insurance company with GREAT customer service! Then, they decided to take $900 from my daughters account for her car insurance despite calling them to give notice of terminating her insurance upon renewal. I waited and waited on the phone to complain, holding for 45 minutes and then another 1 hour 20. Someone was supposed to call me back. They never did. Now its Friday late afternoon and the matter is still not resolved. Please, please for your sanity, choose another insurance company. The service we received from the Halifax Bayers Lake Office and Joy Potter who grabbed our new business with open arms and then shunned us and passed the buck when complaints and issues arose. No matter where you are in the country I suggest you DO NOT buy any insurance through this third rate company. You will live to regret it.

I've never in my life dealt with an agent in any industry who is as helpful as Joy. Answers the right questions in no time and is always looking for ways to give you the best rates. As long as Joy is my agent, I will never leave Allstate.
