A Refferral was sent back in June 2021 10 months ago , waiting to be seen as March 2022 my uterus dropped and suffering a lot of pain and discomfort prior they received numerous referrals and a updated urgent referral . I received a call from feedback line ( Theresa Rogers) Useless and did absolutely nothing to resolve my complaint as I needed to be seen with a recent Refferral sent to the IWK Gynocologist to Dr Amir and was denied access to medical care and turned me away refused me medical care .. I contacted patient relations ( Denise Klavano ) and left a voicemail and got no response . I contacted office of the ombudsman who oversees all levels of provincial government as was informed by the ombudsmans office if I dont hear anything back from the IWK Gynocologist department given them 4 business days the ombudsman office will be writing a letter to the Nova Scotia Privacy Act .. I reached out to the College of Physicians and Surgeons and left a voice mail waiting for a response prior to my telephone call ... I also reached out to the minister of Nova Scotia Health and left a voicemail and waiting for a response to my complaint of being denied and turned away for urgent need of medical care to basically suffer it out treated me like a second hand class citizen Dont trust these doctors and dont trust the IWK Womens Gynocologist department .. I know people who are suffering with issues and have been waiting up to two years to see a Gynocologist .. terrible dont trust this IWK clinic

Honestly I've had painful periods since I can remember and was recommended highly by another patient of hers. Although Dr. Randle was insightful enough to help me identify what might be the problem, but I'm about 30 steps back from where I started. She and her intern pushed birthcontrol, even though I was uncomfortable with the idea after having previous side effects in my teens. She reassured me it would be fine and everything would start to change for the better-sure a few mild side affects but that seems far from the truth. I ended up with 9+ month period, fatigue, seizures, muscle problems etc. I could not contact the clinic during this time and had to go though feedback to get anywhere. Finally got a phone appointment a few months after but since she was on leave it'd with her intern. She basically told me wait it out bit to but unless I was willing to try another birth control they weren't able to help me further and that would be my last appointment with them. Truthfully after that experience if that their definition of 'quality of life" it's a joke- I trusted them to help me and feels like I was robbed of what little quality of life I did have and now I'm stuck picking up the pieces. I feel abandoned and I'm hesitant to even consider returning cause its very clear they don't care.
