I had written a review but it is not showing up. My daughter and I were doing a Cape Breton excursion and had driven down from north of Sydney. We got into Inverness around 8 pm and were extremely hungry. We saw the Public House and it certainly looked inviting. However..... that stopped the moment we walked through the door. We were looked at as if we had 2 heads, each. We had originally asked for take out but were told that being seated, in the restaurant, would get us our food quicker. So, sat, we did. It took at least 30 minutes to even get a menu. We ordered quickly so that we would get our food quicker. We asked for an appetizer to come first. An hour later I asked where the appetizer was. No apology, just that it was so busy that it was taking longer (at this point, it was no longer busy). Another 20 minutes and we finally get our appetizer and our order, at the same time. By this time, we were exhausted so asked for our food to be placed into containers. So much for being quicker if we were seated inside the restaurant. 1 hour and 50 minutes to get an appetizer and 2 orders of fish and chips, which by the time we ate them, were cold. I have read other reviews and honestly, I do not know how they stay in business. Worst service, ever, and the food was certainly nothing to brag about.

Fish not as good as it use to be. Too much batter.
