Kentville Toyota

I just picked up my 2023 Tacoma Trail Edition this morning. Eric Spooner in Sales and Jennifer in finance made the buying experience super easy and straight forward. Eric was in touch often with updates via text and phone calls and was genuinely just as excited as I was to get updates and to make the delivery of the vehicle. I'm sure I won't have to deal with the service or parts department for many years, but if I do I'm sure they'll handle things with just as much professionalism as the sales and finance department did. Very pleased with the service and highly recommend Kentville Toyota.

I have been to many dealerships and purchased many cars and I can say that this dealership is one of the best I've been to. They are super easy to deal with. Very friendly and honest staff. I would buy another car from Kentville Toyota without thinking twice.

The sales staff here were all friendly and helpful. They went above and beyond to find me a car. No high pressure tactics either, which was refreshing.

We tried to purchase a 2023 Rav4 Hybrid. We placed a $2500 deposit on the unit and had a date and time set for delivery. After asking some questions to the General Sales Manager, he decided our money and our arrangements were no good for him. He sold the unit to someone else with the only explanation being that he said we were unreasonable customers. We did have a back and forth with his boss but ultimately were promised things that they backed out of right after when asking how this would work. We came to Kentville Toyota as we have deep roots in the Annapolis Valley even though we live in the city. Their general sales manager has no honor and the character of a sleazy car salesman. Shame on him! If you are looking for a Toyota, take a drive elsewhere.

We were going to purchase a new Toyota from this dealership today. We had a car lined up to replace a totalled car (Toyota, bought new). Loyal Toyota customers. We are told that the car is available and that we can have it within our time window (with only a couple weeks without a car). We specify that we are from NB, and that we will need to drive down to get the car, and even explain that we will go to Service NB to get our plate on the way back. We are told to put a deposit down, and that our hunt is over. Shortly after giving a deposit to secure the car, we receive a phone call with the salesman Eric explaining that they will not sell it to us because we are not local. They refunded the deposit, and refused to honour the original agreement. We were very discouraged and surprised. We had finally found our next Toyota, staying loyal to the company. When asking Eric for the actual reasons as to why we could not get the car, here are some statements made over the phone: - 'It is our policy not to sell cars to people who are not local' - 'We decide who we sell cars to, not Toyota Canada' - We would lose thousands selling to you and not getting you in for maintenance. - 'We would not have you as a repeat customer' (assumption) - 'No offence, but ultimately, it's not our problem that your car is totalled' - 'I had not understood that you were from out of province' (it was mentioned 5 times during our initial phone conversation, everything from the plates, to the road trip to get it) - 'Maybe it was the language barrier that made it hard to understand that you're out of town' (I am French, but work communications in English, picked up on the accent and tried blaming it on that) It is so disappointing that this salesperson (and dealership) are so shortsighted around the fact that a lost Toyota customer (we will need to go to a different brand now) is important, wether it is a local one or not. Explained to Eric that someone will inevitably have their car totalled in Kentville and need a replacement in Moncton, and so on, balancing things out. His answer: 'Agree to Disagree'. Maybe Honda will be more respectful of our time, our language, our situation, and our business.
