I am a Counselling student at MBC and I must say the teachers and staff are absolutely amazing. I feel accommodated, listened to, and respected. I highly recommend the programs here. They teach you all the skills you really need to do the job you want. -Adrianna Macpherson , Counselling skills & Social Human Services.

Since enrolling at MBC in the Counselling and Social Services program, I have made many great friends and learned so much about mental health and addictions. Ive always had a passion for mental health and so far, Ive thoroughly enjoyed my time at Maritime Business College!

Friend went here, everything theyve said just proves the school is even worse than I thought, the owner is a money grabbing ghoul who would rather the students be taught the equivalent of a primary school education then actually gain anything. Anybody thinking of coming here, youd be better off burning your money

Would give zero stars if it was an option. School is money hungry and doesnt care about your education, teachers are poor and bully students as well as other staff. Dont recommend to anyone.

In 2018 I graduated Human Services at Success College, a subsidiary of Maritime Business College along with about 2 or 3 other private colleges that were located in Halifax that have since closed and their programs reabsorbed into the parent brand. I feel that I was a good student with an excellent GPA, my opinions of the specific instructors I interacted with is that they were professional and helpful, administration was tolerable and usually fair to interact with. Over all I can say that I had a relatively good post secondary educational experience at this Private College. Now then, Private College is the key word here. MBC is a business, they are open to make money, full stop. Any prospective student needs to be fully aware of this as it guides the direction and policies that are foundational of the college. Also because MBC is a private college, at the time of this review any student loans used to pay a tuition fee of a private college is ineligible for student loan forgiveness. I will not slander the name nor reputation of this college as it is a perfectly appropriate avenue for some persons in acquiring a postsecondary education that could lead to employment opportunities, especially when they may encounter barriers at other prominent and well known educational establishments. However as a prospective student before signing anything, I would do my due diligence in asking as many questions as possible about the specifics of post graduation employment opportunities, such as where exactly (names, addresses etc.) a graduate can be employed with the credentials obtained through MBC. I would also ask about recognition, applicability and transferability of credentials to other educational establishments, as well as continuing education requirements and costs in the employment fields that MBC programing prepares their students for. Answering these and other questions will provide any prospective student with all the information they need to know concerning whether or not MBC is a good choice. This is a business and that makes their students consumers. Know your rights and your responsibilities as a consumer of any product, even if that product is education.
