River Ridge Lodge

We thoroughly enjoyed our midwinter weekend with Frauke and Mike at the River Ridge Lodge. Frauke made us feel welcome and at home from the moment we drove up the driveway. Our room was warm, clean and inviting and had everything we needed, including a bar fridge. We are hikers and love being outdoors and we had a fabulous time hiking around Martin River and Mahone Bay. Frauke and Mike were wonderful guides and shared information on interesting hiking trails in the area as well as places to eat and local attractions. The breakfasts were delicious, prepared using food sourced locally. We hope to visit again soon. Thanks so much for your warm hospitality.

The Wreath Making Class at River Ridge Lodge was perfect! The class made a perfect start to the holiday season and allowed me to meet new friends and see some familiar faces. The group was welcoming but perhaps it also had something to do with the great atmosphere of the barn - the twinkling lights, music, the lovely German goodies to nibble on, the mulled wine and cider and the wonderful scents coming from the mounds of evergreen, juniper, dried seed pods, fruits etc to choose from to make a wreath. So many options!! The instructors were great and the finished wreaths were spectacular. Not a detail was missed by the organizers. I hope to make this an annual event.

Cozy stay at River Lodge. I was in town for work and enjoyed both nights I spent at this charming lodge. Very well organized and hospitable! Coffee at the door at 730 am was a nice touch before heading out in the morning. Highly recommended. Rooms : 5/5 | Service : 5/5 | Location : 5/5 More
