Server was prompt, but not particularly pleasant. Got the fisherman's platter. Was very disappointing. Haddock was bland, overcooked. Chowder was mostly potato. Fishcake was mostly potato. Wife got hot turkey sandwich. Gravy was free of salt, tasteless. Carrots were cooked to absolute baby food consistency. The home fries were good. Portions were huge, but an incredibly disappointing experience.

There was nothing wrong with this place. Along with the meal, the service was also excellent. Friendly and helpful staff. The seafood Chowder was a creamy bowl of deliciousness. The side fish was nicely done, the fish cake had a terrific flavor (only thing I would like is more fish bits...but at the cost of everything, it's understandable to hold some back), and the homemade biscuit was wonderfully "fluffy". I'm not living in Cape Breton anymore, and I only get to visit once in a while. But, I already know that on my next visit, I'll be stopping in again for another meal. P.S. the Clubhouse sandwich wasn't mine, but I was told it was very good. And from what I saw, it was huge, and looked delicious.
