Maritime Travel

Attempted to book plane tickets for my 2 boys(one being an unaccompanied minor), which I have done every year for the past 4 years, and I have always used Maritime Travel without any issues what so ever... until this time ! I called Maritime Travel in my local area, just as I have done in the past to book my boys' travel, but this time I wasn't even sure I had the right number. The phone was answered with just "hello" and no introduction at all, I thought I had called a residential number, not a business. Definitely not professional! First off I got the feeling that I was a bother and then as soon as I mention my boys ages were 11 and 13, so I also needed to purchase an unaccompanied minor assist for my 11 yr old, I was then told that she didn't realize the time and that they were actually closed and not opened until Monday and was then given the after hours number. Since there were such good seat sales on and they could change anytime, I figured I would definitely call the after hours number. Same thing!!! Everything was fine until I mentioned my children and asked if I could wait till Monday when my the location in my area opened. I explained about ticket sales and couldn't guarantee that they would be the same price tomorrow. It didn't matter. Again,I felt like a bother, so I hung up and called back, hoping to get a different agent that would help me.....NOPE!! Same guy! Same a bother. I would not recommend Maritime Travel until they properly train their agents customers service skills!! I actually called the airlines and booked the tickets myself and got all booked up and saved some $$ by not having to pay a fee to Maritime Travel for the booking!! I will thank them for that They acted as if my children didn't matter. Well screw you , aritime Travel!!!! Do your own bookings and same some cash and frustration.
