Tartan Tours

We booked Tartan Tours to transport us from the airport to a remote house near Baddeck. Diane was an excellent tour guide, even though we were not technically on a tour, and made us feel safe and cared for. She met us at the airport and immediately made us feel welcome on the island. We would definitely recommend Tartan Tours to anyone who needs transportation in Cape Breton.

This company cheated me and the friends I was traveling with to Nova Scotia last week. Diane promised by email to drive the four of us 40 minutes outside of Sydney and give us a tour of the Louisbourg Fortress. The cost would be $280. Instead we were shocked when she simply dropped us off at the visitors center and and then picked us up two hours later when we called her. We had to pay our own way to get inside the fortress and also pay for a tour. When my friend asked Diane for a partial refund because she didn't do what was promised, she reluctantly came down to $250, still an outrageous price for simple taxi service. Don't trust her.
