While on our East Coast trip we found ourselves in need of a place to rest our heads and came across the Paddler's retreat. The photos do not do this place justice. This tucked away gem located a skip away from the water offers hometown hospitality you would hope for in Nova Scotia. Gayle, the owner, greeted our weary-eyed selves late that evening and gave us a quick tour. The bed was comfortable, the food was excellent, and the company was lovely. B&Bs like this give you the opportunity to meet others and it's fun! The house is an older house and does have a noticeable slant which I think adds to the character of the place. Well maintained, very clean, and very cozy. Stop in and Stay a while!
