I had to get a power of attorney completed which was initially set up in a different province. Niranjan was very helpful and had things completed relatively quickly. Pamela, the Customer Experience Associate, finished the transaction for me and was also very helpful and kind.

My nephew went to this branch on Nov 4, 2022 at approximately 4:30 to deposit a $40,000 bank draft I had just given him, drawn from the local RBC. The female teller refused to take it. Suggested he come back on Mon. He quietly left. She made no effort to call RBC to verify the draft. I am dumbfounded. My jaw is still on the ground. Scotiabank, what are you going to do about this?????

Such unhelpful management at this branch!! All I wanted to know is if an investment account I have is one of my Scotiabank investments! Apparently they were "unauthorized" to tell me if the account was the same! Far too much throwing of hands in the air. Same thing with my phone Scotiabank app which was not working for me. More hands in the air! So I asked a small business advisor on my way out of the branch (I was VERY upset) and he gave me tips on photo deposits, helped me with the app, confirmed that my accounts were different (all I needed was a yes or a no and he was INCREDIBLY helpful.) What he did for me in a few minutes fixed ALL of my issues and put my mind at rest. Clearly management is in the wrong hands at this branch! Also, this is one of the most inaccessible banks I have ever encountered and one hour phone waits are unacceptable...
