I felt I should share my FYI experience in hope that maybe it will lead to some changes in the way they practice. Being fairly new to the area, I take pride in my belief of shopping local. So I decided on the local eye Dr to get my visual needs looked after. Started off decent enough, eye exam, purchase glasses, but they have to work on customer service. From the very first time I was fitted with my new glasses, I told them I couldn't see out of the one eye. It was blurry, worse than 3 year old pair. The glasses did not get any better over the next few weeks so I returned to the office. Immediately I was told that I should get a more expensive pair of lenses. It took me almost 4 months to save up the money I had already spent . I made it quite clear that I was not spending any more until the problem was fixed.So the glasses were sent away. I was given another I another eye exam. But nothing changed. I was told that I would be contacted within a week. It was well over 2 weeks before I heard from them from them finally I just asked if I could have my money back. I was refunded half of what I had spent there. I went to another eye doctor and they were much more thorough and found the reason for my issues. I guess it was a learning experience that sometimes it's not always good to shop local.
