This experience was amazing!! My fianc and I spent the weekend in the Robins Nest the first weekend in November and it was so cozy! Unlike most other camp sites youre allowed to scavenge for dead wood and chop it up for fire wood, so not only does that save you a couple bucks but its also super fun! The site came with all kinds of stuff, an axe for chopping, tea light candles for lanterns, tons of cozy blankets, and stuff to cook with. As remote as it feels, Laurne and John are only steps away, so you dont feel too alone in the wilderness. It was too cold to use the shower outdoors but well definitely be back in the summer time. A 10/10 experience and hospitality! Laurne was super responsive, the directions to get there were super helpful and easy and we felt right at home! Would recommend to anyone needing a break from the outside world, or who loves to camp! UPDATE: the new Coachmen cabin is incredible. We just spent a weekend there and its so cozy and spacious. Indoor bathroom is a nice touch during this cold weather. The floor to ceiling windows makes it feel like a cabin condo! Will for sure be back.

Had a great time with my little family at this getaway. The cabin was comfortable and cozy. The location was awesome. It was the perfect way to disconnect from our busy city lives. We will definitely be going again and highly recommend this place. We even saw some wild deer , very majestic and breathtaking.

What a magnificent experience. I wanted to offer my sister (visiting from Calgary) an authentic Ontario wilderness adventure with some creature comforts at the ready. The Bunkie in the Woods certainly was that! We had a wonderful weekend exploring the terrain and trails around us or just relaxing by the fire. Evenings we would retreat into the privacy of our quaint and cozy Bunkie where there was a supply of cards, puzzles, etc. at the ready. We slept with the windows open allowing the fresh air to wrap around us, and morning sunshine to wake us. Over the course of the weekend, the team at Eco Acres Farms made the experience easy with canoes (life jackets, paddles, etc.), hiking maps, lots of towels, and extra blankets at the ready. They were incredibly responsive during our stay, but unobtrusive. It truly felt as though we were in our very own stunning little part of the wilderness. Since we didnt get to half of what we had hoped to do over the weekend, weve already made plans to return next year. And my sister shared that her time in the little cabin was the best part of her trip. Thank you again to the Eco Acres Farms team for creating such a picturesque little oasis. We look forward to our next visit and seeing the new log cabin once it is online.
