They ordered on a verbal confirmation and completed the work once pump was in.
First time at cottage after that for an overnight stay with the family (was on site myself doing work on two other days) was the thanksgiving long weekend. We arrived Saturday early afternoon and on Sunday late morning, the same issue happens. Water backing up, it is not draining.
I dug out the lid to the holding tank and found only drips of water going into the tank.
I rented a power rooter from home depot and found major blockages in the line across the front of the cottage, about 10 feet from the holding tank. Had to run the rooter through the blockage spot 4 (maybe 5 times) so that water was flowing into the holding tank.
Just discussed this with Scott today (they didn't get the email I sent on Sunday) when he called to see if I wanted them to close up our cottage. His response was that he was on site, and they ran a hose into the same clean-out point I used and had no flow issues. He asked if I used double ply toilet paper as that could get hung up on a burr in the line and cause a blockage.
So not a full day of use by the family causes a 15 metre, 10 cm pipe to fill with water and not drain, the EXACT same symptoms/problem we started out with.
The other issue is shown in the attached picture is from when I dug out the holding tank lid. I found a pair of disposable gloves, some cut wire and a plug (that would have been on the new pump that was installed). When asking Scott about these items buried at the tank, the response was "Doing the work they would get covered in sh**, what are we supposed to do with them? "
Um... Dispose of them properly maybe instead of burying them?
They get 2 stars as they were responsive to me when i called and the pump was replaced. But was that the actual/complete issue?
And the garbage on site is just completely irresponsible and lazy. Service: Sewer repair
