City of Barrie Enforcement Services

Cats in my backyard killing the wildlife wrecking my flowers...MY backyard. If these were dogs roaming, they would have been picked up by now. Good bylaw not enforced. Dogs constantly off leash with owners carrying the leashes, only to put them on when approaching the street.This occurring in a leashed only area due to the children's park and path...no enforcement. Cars blocking drive ways...ticketed only if a complaint is made. If the bylaw services actually worked in this city, the complaints would go down.

They ride around on bikes like it's a vacation not a job down at the lake.I have dealt with the same rude and useless person on the phone.

Today there was an enforcement officer at Costco, Mapleview parked in a fire rute handing out tickets. When I spoke to the officer about the hypocrisy of her illegally parking whilst issuing tickets she attempted to try and intimate me by writing my plate numbers down. There's nothing worse then a Peace officer thinking their above the law.

Not animal friendly city(ironically surrounded by animals and farmland and forest). My cat is an outdoor cat and now must be confined to the house due a neighbour who doesnt like seeing cats. Bad bylaw. Bad use of City money. Especially with raccoons foxes and turkeys rampant. Get me out of this city!
