My Grampa went into PD Murphys in the south end of Barrie to buy a specific kind of watch for my Grammas birthday present. He was very happy with the service he received and ended up leaving with exactly what he was looking for - with a little tweaking. His wife was very happy with her birthday watch. I have shopped at PD Murphy' for many years and when my son asked for a ring for his 18th birthday I asked him to go in and look and get his finger sized. They told him it was a $20 fee to size his finger or he could buy a set of plastic rings for $10 to size his own finger. I couldn't believe it. I took him to 3 other jewellers just so he could see that you shouldn't pay for a sizing. I bought a nice ring at Michael Hills and will continue my business there.

I have made several purchases and have had two watches and a necklace repaired here. Every time I enter the store I am greeted immediately in a very pleasant manner. None of my purchases have been very expensive, yet the sales staff is most gracious. I find in some stores if you are not looking at a $5,000 ring then they tend to ignore you. The staff are always pleasant and it does not matter how much you are spending or if you just need a $20 repair. I was in the store today and the manager (I do not remember her name) was compassionate, understanding and an amazing person. I had a return today and instead of being treated like you are at most stores when you are making a return, the manager went above and beyond what she needed to do. I really cannot thank her enough. I really want to thank this store for their high quality of customer service. I would recommend this store to anyone. And in the future if I am ever shopping for jewelry etc., I will go to this store first. Thank you for the excellent customer service.

Brought in my watch to be repaired. Patricia the sales person provided outstanding service. Very detailed explanation of the various issues that could potentially be the cause of the watch not working. She told me to leave the watch with them for a few days. 2 days later I was called and told the watch had been repaired and a new battery was installed. I will definitely be back.
