Madawaska Door & Trim

I ordered custom wood garden doors for my new build laneway house; they were the "splurge" of the exterior design. They look beautiful, BUT once they were installed, they quickly swelled up so that they wouldn't open. Over the past 20 months, Madawaska has replaced the doors 3 times. Each time exactly the same thing happens. In total, there has maybe been 3 or 4 months when the doors actually function. Months go between service calls... Maybe at this point they are just hoping that I give up? What I don't understand is how a custom door company just can't make functional doors. I want to like these guys, but my advice is to beware.

My experience with Madawaska Door and Trim was excellent. I wanted a real wood door, not steel, not fibreglass but real wood. I do not regret my decision. The door was made to my exact specifications and it turned out beautifully. Of note, it was delivered to us ahead of schedule too. I dealt with Skylar from start to finish and found her to be very knowledgable and helpful. Our new door is truly the focal point of our new exterior reno and I get many compliments on the door. I would recommend Madawaska Door & Trim in a heartbeat.

Disappointing customer service. I requested a quote, over the weekend and was emailed by Michelle on Tuesday morning apologizing for not calling me Monday and that she would call me that day (Tuesday). I was not contacted, so I reached out again on Wednesday morning to request a call for a quote. Michelle then called me apologizing for the delay which was fine, but then proceeded to ask me if I had just woken up? Instead of being provided with a quote for the styles and size I had ordered, there were few answers given and that I would have to wait for the glass person to confirm if they could offer what I was requesting. I am not sure why the system is made to have the customer select their styles and options online and then not provide them a quote or call them when they say they will call. And then tell the customer that it will probably be too expensive for them. Over all not a great representation of the brand and left me feeling that this was a waste of time.

Fantastic Customer service . Dealing with Tam and Marleen they both went above and beyond the call to make sure everything was 100% . New ownership is very concerned about customer satisfaction. Would not hesitate to buy there doors again or recommend them . Great doors absolutely worth the investment .
