Temple Knights

Sifu Valerie, Sigung John and their Associates at Temple Knights provide excellent instruction and inspiration through their tai chi instruction and classes. I have been learning and practicing with them for several years and continue to be in awe of their constant helpfulness, patience, good humour and kindness. There is no question I am a better person (physically, mentally and soulfully) thanks to tai chi and their presence in my life!

My children love their classes. They even practice! The in-person and online class options are also super helpful. A great school for kung fu.

Sifu Valerie and sigung John are both amazing people. They are so good with the kids and adults alike. Their dedication and knowledge to kung fu is amazing and inspiring. I would highly recommend them for anyone looking to learn kung fu.

I did a lot of research on Chinese Martial Arts schools before deciding that Temple Knights was what I wanted for both myself (for Tai Chi) and two children (for Kung Fu). In both, Sifu Valerie takes the time to look at each students potential. She focuses on your effort and with patience helps you develop your skills. I have found that Sigung John Oliver Peel and Sifu Valerie Houston-Peel have the ability to inspire their students martial arts practice and daily life pursuits to higher levels. They achieve this by exemplifying the lesson content for their students by thought, word and deed. This successful combination is difficult to find these days, they truly live by their code to Live Pure, Speak Truth, Right Wrong, Follow the King. The grounds surrounding the Temple Pavilion and Dragonfly Pond have both natural beauty and functionality for outside practice. The Temple Pavilion is spacious and conducive to training, especially during inclement weather.
