Dufferin Concrete Beamsville Plant

Be prepared to jump through hoops. I was told they were swamped recently and needed help. I applied for a DZ driver position over a year ago with the reference of a good friend. An operations manager with the company over 30 years. I was refused due to not being able to drive the trucks as well as they would like. They asked me to get more experience and come back in a year. I worked DZ for a year, got my AZ license and learned to drive manual trucks well. My friend asked me to apply again. I passed the phone interview and was asked to come in. Met with an interviewer and it seemed to go great. They asked me to drive, which I thought also went great and even earned a fist bump from the driver and was told my info would be forwarded to the "Higher Ups". I waited two weeks with no call or e-mail. I phoned in and was basically told by human resources, who had been on vacation "we aren't going further with your application". The reason given "No reason". I asked if they could e-mail me a reason, they claimed they would and did not. I don't think they are actually hiring or they are only hiring people from a diverse background (this question and statement is on their application). Do better Dufferin.
