Russell Hockey

Horrible league. Quick to take your money. Not well organized. Pile of goons playing as well. There is a ref but there may as well not be, as anything goes. Had my legs chopped out underneath on a break away. For a non contact league, I wasnt too impressed. Stay away!!

I've been playing in the Russell Hockey league for 5 years now (4 as a player, 1 as a new goalie) and I have had nothing but great experiences. It is as-advertised on the website, a low-mid skill league that's focused on fun and exercise rather than the ultra-competitiveness of other leagues. Any time there's been an issue with things like team balancing or overly aggressive players, the league has immediately rectified the situation. Overall a great league and I plan on being a member of it until I can't skate anymore.

Great league for those looking for a fun but organized game complete with refs. Co Ed. Many of the players have been playing here for a long time. Not for competitive players but the best league for vigorous, fun games!!!!

This league is a joke, beware of them. It is not even hockey, people are learning to skate here. When asking for a refund they ignore you! Avoid at all costs

Calling Russell hockey is like speaking to a 12 year old you just grounded. Im not sure what happened to him, but I dont wish it upon anyone. I received a call from him, as I had only put down the minimum deposit and the remaining was due. But was still awaiting a schedule and roster that was communicated would be sent by email (after following up 4 times since putting down the deposit) His vm said I need the remaining funds in immediately or he would refund my deposit by end of week. He also mentioned now the league unfortunately only had enough players for 2 teams ( not at advertised!) I called him back, and he said that he was sorry the email never came out, but they are two games in now. I said given the circumstances and lack of communication, I would just want the deposit back. His response was, its not his problem and he can only afford my deposit refund if he finds another player to pay it lol Dont waste your time or patience having to deal with this idiot. My advice to Robert Russel would be to find respectful help for his business instead of angry kids answering the phones that live in their parents basements.
