DO NOT USE ---- scam clients by double charging debit or credit cards. I hired Cosmos Moving, completed service less than 2 hours, $327.00 (their minimum charge which includes 2 hours moving). I also received an invoice for $327.00. I proceeded to pay with my credit card on their portable financial card reader, but my card was declined 4 times. ?? I thought this to be very odd. Then I was asked for a debit card. First attempt it declined, then 2nd attempt processed with paper receipt. Next day my bank calls to inform me that I was charged twice from same company, same day, hours apart. No problem, I call the company---HQ told me I am trying to take $ from them (??? playing the victim while they knowingly scammed clients---I tell him that my bank has called me about a double charge from Cosmos Moving for the same amount, same day, hours apart, and I am trying to take money from him? oh my oh my) , racist comments towards me (recorded conversation to use as proof for future use if required), and also that they need weeks to investigate, to send my bank statement. I did, and they said they did not receive it, need extra time, etc etc, and then days/weeks later not answering phone, then blocked my emails to company email address. I filed fraud claim at my bank. Bank and everyone I am telling are all informing me that Moving Companies are notorious for scamming, overcharging, etc. DO NOT USE---I have filed a BBB complaint, and may contact the police for advice, CTV & CBC Marketplace to put this on television, and hire a lawyer to sue if this is not resolved in X amount of time.

Arranged for a move starting at noon, movers called at 1:30 saying they are running late and will be there at 2:15. Actually showed up at 3pm. 600 sq.ft single person apartment- almost no furniture, and everything already boxed and wrapped up, took them 3 hours to pack into a truck. 3 hours! Had dedicated elevator and clear path with no stairs. I have the security cameras footage- one guy is working and loading, the other is standing around and watching him. Called their HQ to let them know what's going on and that it is unreasonably slow. Was immediately threatened that they will hold my stuff ransom. Man on phone said he has never heard of a 600sq ft move finish in 2 hrs, lol but that was the quote he provided. Immediately got on the defensive, became very aggressive and did not want to listen to what I was trying to explain to him. No regard for our wasted time waiting 2 hours on the movers, demanded to get paid double what was quoted, I told them it is unreasonable but that of course they will get paid. They started threatening me and then shut the door to the truck and demanded to be paid before they finish the job. I had to call family to come help me carry and offload because the movers could have been here till midnight. Could have rented a U-Haul and done the same thing by myself in the same amount of hours and saved myself the money and stress of dealing with charlatans. Avoid at all costs.
