After two years of pandemic lockdown my husband and I went on vacation in July. We booked our flights, vacation packages with Lucy Alexander. Our agent did a fantastic job with our travel plans and itinerary. She kept up with all our communication and we had an amazing experience . Excellent job. Thanks.

I had an awful experience with Anglo Scottish American Travel. I in-trusted them to book a flight months prior to my vacation and when it came to my 24 hours to check in for the flight I noticed that I was unable to do so. I called the airline and asked them why I was having a problem, they explained to me that my travel agent did not book a seat in advance , that they had only booked the flight, do to this I was put on stand by and the airline could not help me by booking me a seat because it was not booked through them and it was a full flight. They explained that I would have to go to the airport early and try to get a seat due to it being a full flight. I was then advised to call my travel agent, which of course I did in a panic as I was due to leave the following day. I had left voicemails and sent emails in hopes that I would get support and be advised on what my next steps need to be to insure I would get on my flight. The agency would not return my calls and only would send me emails taking no responsibility for their mistake saying that the airline usually gets everyone on the flight. I did explain to them everything that the airline explained to me about stand by and no seating available, still their words were "they usually manage to get everyone on the flight" Due to the lack of support myself and my traveling partner had to be at the airport for 2:00am in hopes to get a seat for our flight at 7:00am. This agency did not ask or mention, offer or explain that we needed to book seat prior to our 24 hour check in and did not do their part on inform me on the process of the seating process. When push came to shove in a critical moment neither Lucy or Christine would help in anyway, they both continued to push it off as it was nothing important. It is extremely unfortunate and disappointing that a company that I had dealt within the past and had a wonderful experience with, had put me into a situation that when I needed their help the most they were unwilling to help in anyway and refusing to take any ownership to their mistake. I would not recommend this agency to anyone who is looking for a company they can intrust for an easy and stress free vacation as they unfortunately caused more stress and anxiety leading up to my vacation then was needed. I do understand of course that mistakes and miscommunication can happen, however when a company is unwilling to take any responsibility says a lot about what their company stands for. Do to being unable to responded to your response I will edit my original review. Luckily, I contacted the airline and did my diligence to make sure everything was in order. The airline made it very clear that do to your company not booking us seats at the time the tickets were booked there was no guarantee we would get seats that morning. The airline was not the one who made the error. You put myself and my travel partner on standby because you did not securing us seating, not because the flight was overbooked. The comments that I received from you and Christine were "Sometimes that does happen, you will get them assigned at the airport", "they usually manage to get everyone on the flight" and "I suggest you get to the airport early, there is nothing we can do at this point" In all of the emails between myself and Christin, and the one email from you, never once was mentioned that the flight was over booked. In regards to our multiple emails and contacting the office I did do that multiple times and left multiple voicemails as well as the emails I never received a single call and you did not respond to my last email that was sent to you.
