Urban Hardwood Flooring

They did my flooring in April. I cannot put back the bi-fold doors in the closets, because they did not account for them when putting the baseboards. The doors were in the rooms, so obviously one can clue about it, and moreover, I asked Brandon about them when they were doing the floors. Called Brandon and then texted on June 12th about how to handle this. I emailed on December 5th including photos of what is wrong. No reply whatsoever as of December 12th. I had a contractor today to fix the job, and it is going to cost me at least $1,000. I could have put them by myself if the work was done properly in the first place.

Brandon and Chris did a great job. They were quick, efficient and cleaned up well after the job was finished. Our floors look amazing.

I had my flooring installed (approximately 1900sq ft) of engineered hardwood in Burlington between Dec 5 to Dec 8, 2012. I had engineered hardwood in a naked white oak put in. The job was done in practically 3 days with the fourth for final touch ups and cleanup. The installer, Brandon, was recommended by the supplier and given the level of trust with the floor supplier, I sought out Urban Hardwood Flooring. Brandon made time to come out to measure, assess, and quote the work and we found the prices very reasonable. Install date was solidified and honored. What makes Brandon stand out in this regard was that he has a level of care for the product and craft typically seldom seen amongst specialty trades. He knew how the floor would behave, he knew how it would look best installed, and in what manner. He also made special concessions for us to ensure work that should have been done in advance (stairs, painting) would not be compromised as our job schedule had gotten re-arranged. He did not send a crew of people and disappear. He installed the floor himself with his team who are as meticulous as he is. The quality and finished work was, to me admittedly surprising given his speed. He double checked the floors after install to ensure no splintering or imperfections. My only regret is that I wish we didn't have to hide the floors immediately thereafter to protect it from subsequent trades, which again, Brandon made sure to have us do. I will be recommending Brandon and his crew. A pleasure to have worked with you and team. Thank you.

The job he did for us was not finished to our satisfaction and when trying to get ahold of him to fix the problems left after the install, he ghosted us and has made no effort to see to our satisfaction. He charges A LOT for his work but leaves details messy like movement in the floating floor against the bathtub so we cant seal well there which feels like asking for water to get underneath and cause mold. Doors were rehung even though they are rubbing on the new floor which we assume will cause damage in those spots continuously rubbed. Raw edges are visible at the edge of our dishwasher because one of the planks settled more then then the floor around it. I am hoping these issues can be resolved quickly and with little hassle but that only works if Brandon would get ahold of us, respond and make plans to work with us again to right the wrongs. Overall, not happy at all and would never recommend his work to anyone!
