Waterloo Regional Police - Collision Reporting & Records Check Centre

Signage says they're open until 9pm. Walked in at 8pm and got told "I'm not taking anymore reports tonight". Asked how long I had to report the accident, and got a shoulder shrug and "48hrs, 72hrs, I don't know". If you don't take reports after 8pm, you may want to update your posted hours.

The Collision Reporting Centre allows you to file and make reports for vehicle collisions that happened within Waterloo Region. Collision reporting is located inside the Police Reporting Centre. This location accepts both drivable and towed vehicles. This location also provides Police background checks and has a firearms training centre. There is ample free parking with handicap parking and accessibility to building. Service was good and staff are friendly, however I thi k more staff could have been used to speed up process. They take your report and also pictures to send to your insurance company.

I went to pick up my vulnerable sector report, which I had requested online AND prepaid for, and I had email notification that it was ready. I signed in on the digital device at the door and was informed that the wait time to simply show my ID and grab the piece of paper was 90 minutes!! That's ridiculous. What is the point of having to do the process online when you still have to go through an unreasonable wait time to simply pick it up?

Says open on maps and got to know that they were closed when I visited. Came all the way from Waterloo, changed three buses. I think public services just work like that here.
