Dr Flamand is an excellent surgeon and a fine human being, and even a decent golfer.

Dr. Flamand did my carpel Tunnel surgery back in 1998. He did a great job. I wanted another week off work to be sure I was ready to go but he did not give it to me. Other than that, he has a good personality and manner about him. Too bad though he cheers for the Canadiens

Dr Flamand performed an endoscopy with unpleasant post problems. My throat was scratched during the procedure., albeit a small scratch but none the less painful also post swallowing problems , a crunch sensation each time i swallowed which persisted for 6 months . Thankfully it did get better. . When i told Dr Flamand that i had pain and this post swallowing issue, he brushed it off by saying " but you had swallowing issues before " Yes i said but not this crunch in the throat. So he followed up with further upper GI which revealed a linear defect which was not present before. Thankfully it got better but took all of 6 months and more. He also was very rude to me, i thanked him for seeing me and his reply these words " Thanks for nothing" He knew what had happened and instead of helping me referred me to somebody else to help clear the problem, even though he is supposedly a skilled surgeon. Its called passing the buck. Ironically it was myself who requested myself for Dr Flamand to perform the endoscopy even though it was out of my catchment area in Kitchener. He works at Cambridge Hospital and he had performed my colonoscopy and i thought then what a great Dr he was hence asking for him for the endoscopy. I was the last patient of the day for this procedure and he came through the waiting area with beds looking to see if there was anybody else, and i believe this was a rushed endoscopy at the end of the day when everyone wanted to go home , hence the mistakes.
