I have contacted Racer Machinery-Ontario several times in the past to obtain information and technical advise for purchasing a used SM lathe. Although there was no financial benefit for Racer, I received prompt responses, advice on purchasing a used lathe and even remote diagnosis of a buying opportunity. They will not support their machinery, most (all?) of which is re-branded Taiwanese iron with economy line controls. If you have a "Racer Machinery" CNC they do not keep documentation and you're hung out to dry if you need service. This was a deciding factor in our purchasing equipment from another re-seller. Response to "Owner": Your engineer was constantly on lunch or "in a meeting" when we inquired on numerous occasions. One of the machines we had was a relatively new manual lathe, and you had zero documentation. Luckily, we were able to contact the manufacturer directly in Taiwan and obtain the documents we required. We've seen your facility. Slapping a spindle made in Canada into Taiwanese castings makes Racer a Canadian-assembler, at best.
