Mayes Law Firm

Mr Mayes and his associates represented me in my divorce proceedings. He was extremely slow, often seemed uninformed about my case during meetings, let a huge error slip through on a court order written by his associate, which caused me 6 months of wrangling with THE FAMILY RESPONSIBILITY OFFICE and which he proceeded to bill me $10000+ to correct. It took 6 years for him to settle my divorce and then even the end there was an error in the final decree which caused another 1 month delay. I initially chose him because he represented as a Christian bringing those principles into his practice. It was a costly error on my part, which I did not realize until I was too far down the rabbit hole to switch. It is a good thing he is closing his practice. I am thoroughly disgusted with his unprofessional demeanor during meetings (discussed other clients etc).

Mr. Mayes represented my former spouse. The documents that were mailed to me were full of errors, including the wrong year's income, in the financial statement. When contacted, they were extremely rude & Mr. Mayes came across as a bully. The bullying may have been more effective had the firm not been so incompetent. I'd do extensive research on this firm before handing them a nickel.

Called for a quote and the secretary was to lazy to write down my details... just wanted me to email the office.. outta 5 other offices I called this was the only one to give me that response in Chatham.

Mr Stanley Maes is a terrible lawyer . Excessively expensive Takes as long as possible so as to charge the maximum amount . His lawyer skills are questionable He Mr Mayes is being investigated by the Upper Law Society of Canada . Be wary .

Terrible lawyer... Over charges and prays on people who just lost someone special to them. All about the money- and he is not worth the $300/hr
