WR Detasseling

WR Detasseling is an amazing company to work for. Even though the work isnt easy its a great experience. Its one of the only jobs available for kids under 15 and allows people there first look in the work force. It also teaches you hard work, team work, respect, and responsibility that pays off with work experience on your resume and a nice cheque. The only thing better than the money is the supervisors and friends you make.

I didn't enjoy almost getting heatstroke and a feeling that I had been left behind and forgotten about in the middle of the cornfield on my first day. I was sore everyday, sometimes i was unable to walk. The people were okay though, made some friends so it wasn't all that bad after awhile. I wouldn't work again, but once I got into it, it was a bit better.

Working for WR the past 4 years has been an amazing summer job. Its a place where I look forward to coming to work everyday!
