David is a smooth talker, he scammed a senior single woman. 6 months on he left my condo in disarray. Wrong plumbing, electric connections. Took money and left work in between. Very bad indeed. Seniors be careful.

I would not recommend DUCA Contracting for multiple reasons: David owes us money and we have not heard from him despite many attempts, he has ignored us Renovations Started - February 1, 2021 (2 months as per contract) We Moved back in - September 25, 2021(Once our electrician installed all smoke detectors but Reno was still NOT complete) Our renovations was a PERMITTED wheelchair accessible reno as my husband had a stroke in February 2020. DUCA Contractor (David) was fully aware of this. We were out of our house for 7 months 25 days and most of it we stayed in a hotel. David signed off on paying for our hotel accommodations as he felt bad for the long delay. He has not compensated us as of date. David was ok in the beginning but once he received most of our money he was scarce. David talks a good talk but has no follow through with the contract and is very unresponsive via phone, txt and/or e-mail. Once he got most of our money he was unresponsive. David did not complete our wheelchair accessible permitted renovations. He left the renovations unlivable and we had to get a new contractor and electrician to complete the renovations. David has poor workmanship on what was completed. David damaged our property. He started to refinish the stairs and did not complete and damaged the stairs. He left our living room window boarded up since May 18, 2021 and we had to contract a window guy to install the window and slider. For City permits David applied for basement insulation and duct work permits. They did not pass and he continued with the renovations, completing all drywalling. I had to apply and complete the plumbing, HVAC & building inspections with the city for our home and thankfully the city passed the permits on our house. We had to purchase and install (new contractor) - 2 toilets, 2 bathroom vanity, all bathroom taps, Kitchen tap, 2 bathroom showers, 10 door handles, kitchen back splash, install all appliances, install window and sliders, complete stairs, glass barn doors in master, complete wheelchair platform in garage. complete insulation under living room window(outside). We hired a new electrician to trouble shoot and complete all light switches and plugs that were not working and also install all light fixtures. DUCA Contractors did not caped off the gas from the old fireplace. Enbridge Gas had to do the gas cape off on an emergency basis after I was in my home and smelled gas The above was on the original contract that was signed by DUCA Contractor and myself. I'm still trying to contact him as of date with no response.
