We recommend this company for testing of industrial electrical equipment. Their staff has an excellent service attitude and flexibility to adapt to special testing requirements. They have a wide variety of testing equipment, knowledgeable personnel and offer competitive pricing.

Terrible company to work for with lots of office politics and long hours. Low compensation and weeks typically range from 60-70hrs with no overtime. Especially taxing on co-op students. Co-op students are expected to write a research paper during their term, however after publication dont receive any credit or authorship. Any IPs developed while here become sole property of METSCO. Conditions under Asset Management team are especially horrible due to upper management issues and politics, where the director is inexperienced and in the position due to being the son of the founder. There is an incredibly high turnover rate within all departments, and for co-op students this company should be avoided as there is no guidance and teaching. Most hires are international students/grads who have no family, and therefore are expected to work 12hrs/day - it was expected to come in at 7am, leave at 6pm, get home and work till midnight. If you leave for any reason, METSCO will try to make you unemployable at other utilities in Ontario and speak negatively. If you value a work-life balance at all, I would look at utilities instead.
