I had a very positive experience with Bruce! I recently changed the fuel pump in my car that had difficulties starting up, but I was unfortunate to have a new part that had a defect with the fuel meter showing inaccurate reading. Bruce made sure to contact the provider and got me a replacement under warranty at no additional cost to me (including labour). Communication was very clear and straightforward! Highly recommended! L. Thompson & Sons saved me! I was making a looong solo journey from Halifax to Toronto in my beat-up 2010 sedan and had a massive breakdown just outside Cornwall. It was Thanksgiving weekend and nothing was open, but I am SO glad the kind tow truck driver recommended L. Thompson & Sons. I was able to leave my car there and drop my keys off with a note. Right at 9AM on Tuesday they gave me a friendly call and explained what went wrong with the car. They gave me an accurate cost estimate and fixed the car up for me quickly, kindly accomodating my pick-up schedule. I got a call the next day saying they'd found another small issue and were doing their best to check everything out for me because they knew I had a long trip back home. They were able to find a good condition used part which was extremely cost effective to fix this issue. Here's the real kicker: I had to come back on the train to pick up my car the next week, and realized after they had closed that I would get there too late - around 7pm. I was able to get a hold of Joel, who owns the shop, and he did me a huge favor by coming in during off hours to let me pick up my car and pay for the repair. This shop saved me twice! Joel was very kind, helpful, and reassuring. Without this compassionate approach, I would have been stranded in Cornwall until the next morning. I am SO grateful to this Joel and this shop for helping out a person in need. Their work was amazing, efficient, and cost-effective. I would recommend this shop to anyone, they are proud of what they do and run a solid business. I wish this shop the best in their future. Next time I'm passing through, hopefully I'll be able to swing by in a working vehicle and drop off some coffee and donuts. I'm forever grateful!
