We contacted Shred-It for our personal shredding because we were familiar with the organization from a corporate perspective. The company was very responsive and provided a quote to do on-site shredding. We were given a "deal" if we could be flexible as to when they came, which we agreed. After several weeks we had to contact them repeatedly and we finally got a date that was 2 months after our initial contract signing. The day before the appointment, we got an email that the date of the appointment had been rescheduled again - with no apology; no explanation for the date change; and no time for the date change (only the date was provided). We responded back that this was unacceptable, especially since we had been waiting 2 months. No response to date. I used another company where the shredding was completed at a fraction of the cost and in a timely manner.

Hands down the worst customer experience I have ever had. Equipment fails but yelling at the customer is not the answer, especially after I called the number and was told that the 6 Curity location was open for service today!

Tuesday Dec 27th 2022 - Needed to dispose of approx. 5 bankers boxes of old corporation papers. Found it a bit confusing on where to park and who to see. When I did park, I went into the vestibule and began to read the signs on the door, I was told by an someone sitting in a chair I would need to wait as he can only help one person at a time. I was a bit taken off guard as he didn't introduce himself or say, I will be happy to assist you once I finish up with this person. Came across very grumpy. Once the gentleman ahead of me finished up, he rolled his eyes at me on the way by as to say "Good Luck" Once it was my turn, I completed an information sheet and then was told to drive over to the ramp to onload. I drove over and was told only the papers, don't want your boxes you paid for. So....don't think your leaving your bankers boxes. From there, drove my vehicle back to the parking area shown on the left. Back in the vestibule, the employee asked for my credit card and then made a call from his cell. He called a toll free number and went through all the sign in verifications and then handed me the phone to enter my credit card info. I thought this was really strange that they do not have a VISA/Debit machine ??? Maybe the employee was having a really bad day and maybe this facility is not geared towards walk-ins? I'm glad I'm not the CEO of a large corporation that is looking for a new disposal company because if I was, I would unfortunately be looking someone else. Very bad first impression.
