Great rustic cottages run by a friendly and fun family of original Canadian settlers who have lived on this land for several generations. Situated on the Rideau Canal, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, you can enjoy boating, paddling, swimming, excellent fishing and historic walks or go for a leisurely hike/mountain bike on the Cataraqui Trail through stunning wilderness. There is no shortage of things to do...or just chill by the water in the sun. Each cottage rental comes with one complimentary boat slip and complimentary access to a fleet of canoes and recreational kayaks.

Such a pretty place to stay! We stayed for 4 nights. Cottage had all we could ask for. We had our own dock for our boat and we did many adventures visiting and fishing in five lakes. The hiking trail we spent 4 hrs on and it was beautiful. We laughed at all the tiniest leaping frogs crossing our path. We hiked in the rain but wearing proper gear made it enjoyable. The forest and nature has another side to its beauty when wet. Bring your camera everywhere you go! Our hosts at Simmons Lodge were great, always around for info or if you need something. Great to have a little general store with an LCBO in it just a hop, skip and jump. Truly relaxed and recharged at Simmons Lodge!
