Le Gourmand Bakery

I normally love this bakery for their sweet treats . However, I had a bad experience on the weekend. I sent this feedback to them via Instagram message but they didnt reply so now posting publicly. I ordered an egg croissant without bacon. The cook delivered the sandwich to the front and a young woman took it, slid out the bacon and put it in the toaster. She was standing directly in front of me with her back turned to me. When I questioned her it was clear that my order and she planned to give it to me. I complained, got my money back. The staff at the front seemed not busy, chatting with one another while the staff from the back seemed run off his feet. It seems they need to both train and redistribute staff at the Lakeshore location. Will never trust their warm food preparation again.

Everything is absolutely DELICIOUS!! I may be biased because a) I love cookies, and b) I love ones that are soft but also holds firmness on the edges, but these are by far new fav cookie spot!! I loved Craig's cookies but now I feel like they're too sweet (mo shade to Craigs! I still love them and will continue to buy them!) These cookies hit the right spot for me that I didn't know I had. Like any good cookie shop, this is a treat yoself kind of place for me as I can't afford to go every week. 6 cookies and 1 croissant was around 28. Totally worth it and totally a treat!!!
