I wish I could give a higher rating. This restaurant is truly an authentic Italian restaurant & hidden gem. The chef & owner Renaldo was such a pleasure to work with to make my mother's surprise 60th birthday a great success. I am a very indecisive person so he was able to create an excellent set menu that geared towards my parent's dietary restrictions. The restaurant has a very cozy/intimate ambiance which makes it romantic & relaxed. The staff was very attentive and friendly. The food was delicious & fresh & chef Renaldo recommended us wines that would pair well with the food. Overall, my experience at Anima was amazing and I will definitely be back for dinner again to try more things off the menu. The only downfall (which has nothing to do with the restaurant) is the parking. Unfortunately it is street parking but it's free after 6pm or you can park in the neighborhood's beside it. The parking before 6pm is $1.50 CAD every hour so regardless, it's not that bad for Toronto. Thank you so much for everything that you did to make my mother's birthday flawless and also my surprise ENGAGEMENT! =) I will definitely be back soon!
