Toronto Psychological Services

We did not end up using their services, but please note we inquired and the Adult Autism Assessment only is roughly 3,500.00. They had lovely customer service, but I recommend trying to get a doctor's referral to the OHIP-covered Adult Neurodevelopmental Services at CAMH if you can. ****Edit [Original review left as is above]: In a truly unusual turn of event, one of the employees cross-referenced what little information is on my Google Profile with their call logs and my legal name to ask me to remove the price from my review. Their logic is that competitors will use this price to offer a lower one. I would like to point out that I myself went through an assessment last year at another clinic for a price that is different. When providing the original review, I thought it respectful to leave that out, and refer people to OHIP services they might not have heard of. I am sticking to that perspective, and would like to add that Toronto Psychological Services probably offers great services that have helped a lot of people. I do think, however, that being neurodivergent and getting help is very expensive, and strongly recommend that any neurodivergent-suspecting person and/or their families make a list of every clinic in their extended area and price shop. If TPS is the clinic you end up using, rest assured they have hired a receptionist, an employee who is only in charge of booking assessments, and another employee who manages that employee (and most likely many other). Even before you reach an actual psychologist/professional, you are sure to be taken care of.

Simply put, Ms. Townsend (soon to be Dr. Townsend) and her team were fantastic. I was also truly grateful when she went out of her way to offer support sooner rather than later due to an upcoming crucial event in our lives. In the end, if you are looking for a welcoming environment and are looking to work with women and/or women of colour, this is this place for you.

I did an autism assessment with them and it was very good. The assessment itself was actually very fun. Ghia also was very helpful in giving some ideas for how I should approach my diagnosis and steps going forward. I definitely recommend them.

All of the staff at Toronto Psychological services were extremely caring, patient, and helpful. You can tell Dr. Townsend and all the staff truly care about their patients and love what they do. They took their time in the assessment even went the extra mile to ensure it was completed with the utmost quality and accuracy. We can't thank them enough!!
